Our Story

We are so glad you found us! As an outdoor-loving family, we weren't about to let the arrival of our new baby and the bright sunshine keep us indoors. But like many parents, we were concerned about protecting his delicate skin. We try our best to live a non-toxic lifestyle, and the thought of constantly applying sunscreen filled with chemicals just wasn't the right answer for us – not to mention what a struggle it often is! That's why the idea for Bubby Beachwear has been close to our hearts for over four years.

When our first son was born, we searched high and low for swimwear that would fully shield his fragile newborn skin from the sun during our adventures at the beach, on the boat, or even just playing outside. We found some options we liked, but they always seemed to be missing something crucial. We still worried about keeping his entire body shaded, which often meant one of us having to stay back in the shade while everyone else enjoyed the water. Even with the suits we found, his little hands and feet would have been exposed to the direct sun.

That's when the idea struck us to add those convenient hand and foot flaps. We wanted a way for parents to be social and enjoy time with family and friends in the sun while still ensuring their sweet baby was covered from head to toe, without the constant worry of exposed skin. We know the sun has its benefits, especially as we strive for a more natural lifestyle, but protecting those precious little ones is always our top priority.

We carefully chose a material that is lightweight and breathable, ensuring your baby stays comfortable even on warm days. This fabric is also tightly woven to naturally block the sun, providing UPF 50 protection. You can feel good knowing that our suits are made without any dyes or harmful chemicals.
